Parcde la Villette

Bernard Tschumi(born 25 January 1944) is an architect, writer, and educator, commonly associated with deconstructivism. Son of the well-known architect Jean Tschumi, born of French and Swiss parentage, he works and lives in New York City and Paris. He studied in Paris and at ETH in Zurich, where he received his degree in architecture in 1969

The Parcde la Villetteis the third-largest park in Paris, 35.5 hectares in area, located at the northeastern edge of the 19th arrondissement. The park houses one of the largest concentration of cultural venues in Paris, including the Citédes Sciences et de l'Industrie(City of Science and Industry), Europe's largest science museum, three major concert venues and the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris.

Designed by Bernard Tschumi, the park is meant to be a place inspired by the post-modernist architectural ideas of deconstructivism.
